History & Evolution of Pune Metro Network

The Pune Metro project was approved in 2016 to solve the growing traffic congestion in India's manufacturing and IT hub. Developed by Maha-Metro, the first sections were inaugurated on March 6, 2022. It features a unique underground section through the historic heart of the city and an interchange hub at Civil Court which is one of the deepest metro stations in India.
