History & Evolution of Meerut Metro Network

The Delhi-Meerut RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System) is a high-speed rail corridor operated by NCRTC. The priority section between Sahibabad and Duhai was inaugurated on 20 October 2023 – India's first RRTS corridor. The system runs at speeds up to 180 km/h, transforming travel between Delhi and Meerut. Metro services run within Meerut city stops at lower speeds.
