About Ghaziabad Metro Network

Ghaziabad's metro connectivity through DMRC makes it one of the best-connected NCR cities. The Red Line extension serves the industrial and northern residential areas, while the Blue Line (Vaishali branch) serves the upscale Vaishali and Kaushambi localities. Yes, standard Delhi Metro Smart Cards are valid on both extensions.

History & Evolution of Ghaziabad Metro Network

Ghaziabad is served by Delhi Metro via two line extensions — the Red Line (to New Bus Adda) and the Blue Line (to Vaishali). Both extensions were built under Phase 2 of Delhi Metro. Vaishali was inaugurated in 2011 and the Red Line extension opened in 2019, significantly improving the city's connectivity to Delhi.
