History & Evolution of Gurgaon Metro Network

Gurgaon Rapid Metro is the world's first fully privately financed modern light metro system. It was built in two phases, with the first phase opening in 2013 and the second in 2017. Due to financial difficulties of the original operator, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) took over its operations in September 2019, ensuring continued service for Gurugram's residents and office-goers.
